As compare to previous two decades, one of the biggest changes we have in 21st century is the technology. Specifically, the online Social Networking Websites plays an vital role in the development of the technology era. Social Networking Websites are often called as SNSs. SNSs have changed a lot of things, including our lifestyle, thinking and our perspective on number of things. It made our communication easy, but it is hard to control and monitor the Social networking websites. This uncontrolled nature of Social Networking Websites leads to consequences such as cyber bullying, peer-pressure, mental-health issues, privacy issues, which forces us that we should control the data and information shared on SNSs and monitor it’s users’†¦show more content†¦Spencer mentioned cases of cyberbullying as: â€Å"We are seeing far more examples now in the criminal justice system and we don’t have the tools to deal with it [cyberbullying issues].† Information sharing and posts created by users are not supervised, there is no one to monitor and stop the improper information we share and atmosphere we create through our SNSs profiles and our posts. This shows uncontrolled nature of SNSs. Some features of SNS and uncontrolled use of SNSs results in increased peer-pressure, increased self-consciousness, increased cybercrime and increased cyberbullying among the users. On April 14, 2014 a 14 years old Dutch Girl named Sarah tweeted to American Airlines â€Å"hello my name’s Ibrahim and I’m[am] from Afghanistan. I’m part of Al Qaida and on June 1st I’m gonna [going to] do something really big bye† as per the Dallas news report presented on their website. American Airline replied took this threat seriously, and tweeted back that they will forward her information to FBI. After receiving a response from american airlines, she realized seriousness of creating such a threat. She apologised for her mistake, but it was too late. Dutch police arrested her for posting the threat. Sarah wanted to gain popularity on SNS Twitter, but her will to be famous, put her in trouble. Peer-pressure was the real reason behind her this act.
